Elizabeth is recording a new audiobook of one of her favorite classic novels: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. The book will be available to listeners for free right here. Starting today (April 15, 2020), Elizabeth will post a chapter a day until the book is finished. We hope you’ll listen along, and that you find Anne’s story of hope, love, and imagination a balm for these troubled times.
Elizabeth performs the role of Marilla Cuthbert in L.M. Montgomery’s beloved classic Anne of Green Gables, which has been released by The Online Stage and is available at Audible. Narrated by Susan Iannucci, and performed by a full cast, this is the first in a series. The next book, Anne of Avonlea, is currently in production – with Elizabeth as Marilla – and will be released later this year.
The always delightful and entertaining classic Anne of Green Gables is performed by actors from The Online Stage! Written in 1908, for all ages, by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery. Anne Shirley is an 11-year-old orphan adopted by a middle-aged brother and sister, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. They had wanted to adopt a boy to help with their farm on Prince Edward Island in the fictional town of Avonlea. Matthew persuades Marilla to give Anne a chance. Anne is a handful, and they fall in love with her.
Elizabeth is excited to announce that her newest LibriVox solo recording, A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, is now finished and available for download! Elizabeth’s next solo recording for LibriVox will be Virginia Woolf’s Night and Day.
