About Me
Books and literature are my life. I spend my days teaching writers like Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, Charlotte Bronte, Toni Morrison, and Margaret Atwood at a university in Houston, TX. I spend my nights recording audiobooks in many different genres - specializing in British historical mysteries, science fiction/fantasy, Jane Austen adaptations, literary classics, and contemporary romance. I have been a professional narrator since 2011, with over 350 books available at Audible and Libro.fm. I am proficient in character voices, a wide range of accents, and close attention to textual detail honed by my years as an English professor. I trained as an actor, singer, and director while a Theatre major in college. I am passionate about working with authors and production companies to bring books to life using my voice.
Outside the recording booth, I adore traveling; my favorite destinations include London, Lisbon, Sicily, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Boston. I regularly give talks at local arts organizations, such as Houston Ballet, the Alley Theatre, Main Street Theater, and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s classic and foreign film series. I am also a proud board member at the Catastrophic Theatre, Houston’s leading experimental theatre company.
